The Sealed Knot first appeared at the John Butterwick Costume Fair in 1979. Over the years they have given displays on The Green, at schools and at Preston Park. The Norton Hall and Theatre Yard Group were only a small section of the “Encampment” that were based at the T.A. HQ in Norton, this Group included canon and pike and gave demonstrations both on the Green and at Preston Hall. The two figure photo is a Cromwellian Officer and Trooper on Norton Green ,with St Marys Church Tower to the left and “The Hermitage” to the right. Note ,on the Theatre Yard photo, the derelict workshops in the background which is now Teessdale
