The Farmhouse is currently being used as office accommodation. The current owner has recently applied for planning permission with a view to demolition of the building
Thats right Tommy had the farm on the Green, I used to deliver milk for him in his old a40 van [I think] you had to hang on the back and jump off with the bottles put them on the step and run to catch him up as he never stopped just slowed down ha ha can see him now with his old cap on, Happy days.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF ANY REPORTED SIGHTING AT THORNTREE FARM OF A YOUNG GIRL OR ELDERLY GENTLEMAN THAT APPARENTLY HAUNT THE FARM ?? IF SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY INFORMATION THESE SIGHTING HAVE BEEN REPORTED MANY TIMES. PLEASE UPDATE
Thorntree Farm is in Thornaby, it is situated at the top of Bassleton Lane overlooking Bassleton Wood. The farm house was sold in 2004 and has been converted into office accomadation for a telecoms company.
My husband”s ancestors (Brough family)owned Thorntree Farm in the 1800s before the Richardson family. I would like to know more about them if anyone has any other information as we are researching the family tree. R Brough
I would like to hear from anyone who has any information regarding the site for Thorntree Farm. As previous owner together with my wife until 2003. My wife together with her uncle Mr N Richardson lived at the farm for 8o years.
