This reminds me of my days at Hills. I worked on the special doors. Doors that were not ‘stock doors’. Made with various types of veneer finishes and were usually of odd sizes and maybe shapes. We could handle upto 300 per day, each weighing approx 2 cwt. They were lifted onto the machine or bench for each process of work and then lifted off at the other end. Miners got bonus for tonnage. If we had we would have been worth a fortune!
