The former ICI can be seen in the far distance across the River Tees in this photo which was taken from the Swallow Hotel in September 1992 by Fred Starr.
To the right you can just about make out the Transporter Bridge, see the chimney of the Portrack incinerator (with the white plume) and the uprights of Newport Bridge, to the right of that would be the Centre North East building (previously Corporation House) in central Middlesbrough.
