  1. My name is Alan Forrest I went to school with Brian Taylor in the 1950 era, the school was Billingham South Modern opposite Billingham Synthonia ICI Club. I met his road manager once in James Cook Hospital he was in opposite bed. Are you still out there, would love to hear from any school pals. Alan Forrest, formerly lived Bedford Terrace, Cowpen.

  2. We had Vic Creed on drums who was killed in a light plane accident after going to France to a music festival with three friends, they ran out of fuel on the way home and crashed into the sea, sadly they have never been found. Henry Fawcet on Lead guitar; Henry worked for the family business of fruit and veg opposite Portrack social club in Stockton but the building was pulled down to make way for the new road. Pauline Riley from Norton who’s stage name was Jackie Peters toured with the Denvers before joining the Taylor 5. Gordon Valentine was originally the bass player with the band but decided to front the band with Jackie and we did a lot of cabaret in the local Titos, La Dolcia Vita, Weatheralls Sunderland etc. As Gordon was now fronting the band they asked me to join and play bass. Finally Terry Owens on Keyboards. Terry was head of INBIZ a local firm helping new businesses to start up. The name was from Brian Taylor, he’s on the keyside photo. Brian was a local estate agent and has now retired to Grassmere and runs a very successful B&B. I am still writing the book on the local bands of the 60s and have lots of stories to tell in the book – look out for it soon.
