I should imagine this photo being taken after the reactor had been towed down to Bradwell and it is on its way to the Power Station. It’s the only time it would have been on these bogies which were towed by Sunters. I worked on a couple of these reactors both at Thornaby and Bradwell. I worked on the Dock Gates squad. The reactor was towed into the River Blackwater to Bradwell Village at high tide. The reactor was then lowered onto the bogies using the tide as it went down. It was then towed through Bradwell Village and onto the the Power Station.

I wonder where this photo was taken of this Bradwell load,they were generally launched from the works into the river Tees.
