  1. This is an amazing picture – Mrs. M. Temblett, (Molly) the nursery school teacher and owner was my dear grandma who passed away in 2005 at the age of 92. She always spoke extremely fondly of all the children, and regaled us with brilliant, funny stories of what the children would get up to! My mum, now herself 71, was delighted to find this photo that she’d never actually seen, if there is any way Mr. Wilson would be so kind as to let us order a copy for my mum and her two sisters, ( or indeed any other pictures of Molly, my grandma, or the nursery in any way!) I’d be very grateful indeed. If anyone knows how I could contact Mr. Wilson regarding this, I would so appreciate it!

      • Hiya Mike, what a surprise to hear!
What would you like to know exaclty?
I’m Tessa’s daughter Sophie; my aunt and mum are both very well, Aunty Shell is probably about your age and my mum is 73 this year.
I’d be very happy to direct message with you if that’s possible on here? I’m not too sure how to navigate around this place!
        All the best to you,
        Sophie

    • HI Sophie:

I remember your mom Tess and your grandmother very well. I lived on Oxbridge Lane just around the corner from Richmond Road and I knew several people who lived on Richmond Road: Peter Mackie who went to Grangefield Grammar and was a member of the Cyclones band, John and Judith Sparrow who lived opposite your grandmother.

I went to Stockton Grammar School and your mother went to Queen Victoria. I knew Tess and several of her classmates because our two schools teamed up for school plays and musicals.

If my total no-recall serves me correctly, Tess married a Grangefield Grammar chap named Stuart. Please give my best regards to your mom. I live in Fredericksburg Texas but return to the UK every 2 years or so. I typically organize a reunion of Stockton Grammar alumni and, during my next UK trip in 2025, I hope to gather some friends from Grangefield and Queen Vic together.

Anyone interested in contacting me can do so by going to my web site. There’s a contact form there. The web site address is simply my first name followed by my last name (no spaces), followed by .com

Wishing you and your family all the best,
      Graham Pearson

  2. I am the proud owner of this house now, having lived here since 2015. This is some fantastic history! I would be most grateful if any other pictures are available of either the interior / exterior.
