I was a member of 4th Norton troop from Cubs, through to senior scout I think, in the 1950s and 1960s. The Cub leaders were Norma Trattles, Akela and Joan Lamb, Baloo.
Scout leaders were Stewart Collingwood and Steve Askey. Great people, who gave up their time to work with us. We were a very “outdoor” troop, lots of hiking, camping and overnight bivouacs on the North York Moors… marvelous.

Norma was the cubs Akela when I was in the scouts in the 80’s, Norma Pryor by then though.
