A drawing in Biro of 74 76 Paradise House on Church Road. The sketch is dated 88, but I can’t work out the signature though I have seen it on prints of local scenes in the past possibly a local artist?.

That part of what is now Church Road, was known as Paradise Row. From the Castle & Anchor took the end of the old police station. It was also a favourite place for ladies of the night.
Remarkable effort using biro. One wonders how Leondardo da Vinci would have used modern mediums. Hope that the artist will come forward, ideally with unpublished work on Stockton and its environs

Always admire people with artistic qualities, one of the lads at Tilery School, John Sparrow was exceptionally good.
