This Piper Cherokee was registered by the Civil Aviation Authority as G – BBHY.
It was built in 1973 and, despite having nearly 8,000 hours flying time, is still flying, judging by its current airworthiness certificate.
G-BDWY I learned to fly and got my private pilot’s licence in this in the mid 80’s with Ken Large Aviation.
