Cast members of The Billingham Players prior to their production of “Sleeping Beauty” at the Theatre Upstairs on Belasis Avenue, Billingham. The pantomime was to be staged on the 10th of December 1984. Does anybody recognise any of the three ladies, or know if they are still involved with the Billingham Players?

Pat Thompson was also a member of the cast of The Billingham Players for their production of an Old Time Music Hall in 1974(5?). It was the only thing I ever did with the company and was the first project after we refurbished and reopened The Theatre Upstairs after many years of neglect. Very fond memories of a wonderful production with lovely people; Pat was one such person and a real star in the making!

Patrica Thompson is the long legged beauty on the far right and is a very good friend from my school days. Now known as Alex Hall, she currently presents Songs From The Shows on BBC Radio Tees. I’m not sure if she’s still involved with the Billingham Players but she did continue her acting career and was cast in many well known TV shows such as Emmerdale, Prime Suspect and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere. Hopefully she will add more to my snapshot of her long career.
