  1. You could drive your car into the Teasdale Park ground & park like in the photo, but you could not see much of the game from your car with crowds like this.

  2. Ray Morton’s association with Teasdale Park goes back a long time he was a player with Head Wrightsons, prior to that he played for Seaham Red Star. He was also manager of Norton & Stockton Ancients. Sorry Bob I do not know the chap Chris Spooner, maybe the Malleable Club football men can help you.

  3. Anon, Do you know of a lad who would now be 76ish called Chris Spooner? He lived in the Hallifield Street area of Norton. He was a goalkeeper but I cannot remember the local teams he played for. I remember him as a painter and decorator, maybe for the council.

  4. If only Thornaby F.C. got crowds like this every home game at the old Head Wrightson’s Teasdale Park in the photo, Ray Morton(Manager) & the committee’s prayers would be answered.
