Wish this photograph had come with a date when submitted. My g g grandad, James Casey, born in Co Monaghan eventually settled in Stockton-on-Tees with his wife Mary Ann O’Brien Casey. James had been an Iron Puddler all his life, on his death certificate its states at the time of his death 1895 that he was an hawker. They lived in and around Castlegate area. There was a large Irish community living in this area. Also in Stockton before the 1900s lived a family called Comaskey, they may be related to my g g g g grandmother, Bridget Comaskey Casey.
