I WAS A PUPIL AT ROBERT ATKINSON FROM 1950-1955 HAPPY DAYS AND CAN STILL REMEMBER ALL THE NAMES OF MY CLASSMATES FAVOURITE TEACHER WAS MISS POOLE ART AND CRAFT BEST FRIENDS WERE MARIAN JINKS, AUDREY GARDENER, JOYCE BURKIN, REMEMBER WELL ROSEMARY ANDREWS WHO HAD A MARS BAR AND I WAS VERY ENVIOUS, ANNE HOFFMAN NICKNAME COFFEE” “POP ALLEN WITH HIS BLACK ROBE STROLLING ALONG THE CORRIDORS DOMESTIC SCIENCE LESSONS ACROSS THE ROAD, SINGING IN MRS WILKINSONS CHOIR NEEDLEWORK WITH MRS HORNE, FRENCH LESSONS WITH MISS SCOTT SCIENCE WITH MR.WALDREN SO MANY YEARS AGO BUT MEMORIES STILL VERY VIVID.

    • This is an interesting picture from school, but the wrong age group :-)) I was at Robert Atkinson but left at about 1952 ? from class Commercial. Your comments all familiar, singing and Mrs Wilkinson, headmaster in his black gown etc. I was Betty Armstrong (now Betty McClure, married Harry McClure). Now very happy with family, including one great grand daughter. As you say all really good memories!
