Remember this scene well from my time as a trolley boy at Woolco in the early 70’s…..
I can see my house as a kid, No 52
I lived there with my wife and new son in 1967 and moved to a new 3 bed Wimpey on Thornaby Road in 1968.
My grandma and grandad, Florence and Percy Oldfield moved to these flats from York after he retired from the railways in 1966
I remember when they built these blocks my dad John riley had a mobile shop ,I moved away in 1978.
