My father almost bought the large and lovely Prospect House situated close to the station road bridge which overlooked Yarm station, viaduct and the town itself. However, mum didn’t want to, and we never moved from our council house the other side of the tunnel.
Love this. Yarm is just the epitome of the English village. It’s wonderful!

My grandparents shop on the right – it’s an Italian restaurant these days as far as I know. My great uncle is named on the war memorial.
