A photograph taken around the turn of the 20th century shows Norton Cross-Dike on the Green, on a sunny afternoon. This photo appears to have been taken between 2 and 4 oclock in the afternoon. The Unicorn public house on the corner of the High Street is also in the picture as is the Fox and Hounds.
Norton Cross-Dike on the Green .c1900 Can anybody explain the name of this postcard, Norton Cross-Dike on the Green, where did the name come from or more still where did it go for so many years? It is mentioned on the 1894 map; in 1899 it disappeared off the maps for some reason to reappear in 1979. Roy.
