  1. This building was at the rear of 71 High Street (it was Clydesdales in the 1940-60s.) Note the right hand corner of the building was tapered off to allow access to the back gate. Without that corner being cut away even small vehicles ( including the original horse drawn coaches) would not have been able to gain access. Wiley”s Tripe factory was where you see the weeds in the picture. It was a very tight corner indeed.
