  1. Thank you for your kind words about my father and grandfather. My Dad (Ken) once told me that he and my Grandad (Jos) lived by the words ‘treat others as you would wish to be treated’. They were, indeed, gentlemen and I miss them both a great deal.

  2. This chap, Jos Sheraton, was a proper gentleman, when he was well into his eighties he would still give his seat up on a bus to the ladies. He used to get in Norton Cricket Club with his son Ken who was also a gentleman.

  3. My Grandfather”s retirement gathering in 1964 – Jos Sheraton far left. He served many years as a boilermaker at I.C.I. Billingham. Both my Nana and Grandad received engraved watches for his years of service for I.C.I. Originally of Imperial Avenue, Billingham, at this time they lived in Cottersloe Road, Norton.
