In the 1970″s, from Maynards to Farm Stores. Was the Co-op Supermarket and also was the road from High Street to Prince Regent Street and Nelson Terrace. These photos would been taken around the 1980″s.

dovecott salesrooms has been demolished, also the bungalows in ward close have been demolished,houses in buchanan st, st bernards rd and tarring st and webster close are also due for demolition

Demolition – Its 0945 Hrs and I have just had a frantic phone call from my son Michael, hey dad they are knocking down Dovecote Street, which part I said, the block between Brunswick and Skinner Street, getting ready now will go and have a look? Roy.

The dating of these pictures is way out. Dovecot Street was pedestrianised sometime either late 80″s or early 90″s.
