I wonder whether the man with his back to the camera is not my father, Leslie Tibbels? At that time he would have been Instruments Workshop manager where they made, or at least engraved, many gifts for retiring ICI staff.
I think the man in the foreground extreme-right is Charley Robinson the Workshop Foreman. My father was Instrument Foreman in the adjacent Instrument Workshop at this time.
