The oil tanker Magwa both at sea and in port. The ship was built at Haverton Hill shipyard by Hawthorn Leslie & Co and was owned by Afran Transport Co.Ltd The ship had a gross tonnage of 16060. The keel was laid on 26th September 1949 and launched on 8th December 1950. There are also views of the wheelhouse, pistons, deck and the engine room.

I have been on board of Magwa from February 1950 to April 1951 as Engineer assistant and 3rd engine officer.
A correction to the above, the engine was built by Hawthorne Leslie not the ship and the engine is of the DOXFORD Opposed piston type.
