Could this be number 3 West Row?I am looking for that address which was a lodging house in 1891. According to old maps,number 3 was near the end of West Row where it joins Dovecot Street.There is a gap between this photo and Boyes store so it is possible that number 3 has been demolished.
I worked in Hicksons for 4 years, the shop part was not there when I started in about 1979 I think. I worked with 3 other people Sid & Ronnie (Mechanics), and Brian the other apprentice. I remember old HR Hickson himself (Herbert Roland I think) parking his car there every day (He’d retired by then. Oh to be 17 again!!
