By comparing more than one photograph of the southern end of the High Street taken during the late 19th century, I am fairly confident that the cottage stood where the end of the Theatre met the brewery on Bridge Road. If the photograph is enlarged the design of the adjacent town house becomes apparent. Behind the lamp standard is the position of the 1860″s cottage I referred to earlier.
