The Saternus. 1950

A view of the launch of the Saternus and also of the laundry room on board. The oil tanker Saternus with a gross tonnage of 10608 was built at Haverton Hill shipyard by North Eastern Marine and owned by Rederi Aktie Bolaget Saternus. The keel was laid on 7th July 1949 and the ship was launched on 12th October 1950

  1. I didn”t know that long time ago was ship call Saternus. I am suprised because this is my Surname. I come from Poland. My Grandfather is II Officer on the Ship and I am III Engineer on the ship. 🙂
