As I said above Ken, I think it could of been the sale of the machinery at Commercial Street, Middlesbrough, when Head Wrightsons closed the works in the late seventies.
It’s definitely not the machine shops at Teesdale Thornaby. I think the other two photos are taken in the later Training Centre opposite the machine shop. Previously, the Training Centre was in the two storey Training Centre adjacent to the works canteen, across the street from the Main Offices.
YOU ARE RIGHT ANON, THE BOTTOM TWO PHOTOS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE FROM THE TRAINING CENTRE BUT I DONT KNOW WHERE THE TOP PHOTO HAS BEEN TAKEN. A LOT OF WHITE COLLARS HANGING AROUND ON THAT DAY BUT IS IT A MACHINE SHOP? PLENTY OF LARGE GEAR IN THIS SHOP BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE GEAR IS FOR SALE OR AUCTION. HELP.
The top photo looks like Head Wrightsons, Commercial Street, Middlesbrough. Maybe Ken Rhodes can tell us if the other photos are in the Training Centre.
I worked in the print room at Head Wrightsons in Commercial St 1966
