  1. Sorry to report the passing away of Dave(Sammy) Small. Dave started his football at St Bedes where, with his good friend Ged Cumiski filling the fullback places, both played for Stockton boys and then went on to play for West End Minors and Juniors. He served his time as a fitter at Pickering Lifts and also drove taxi’s for Guthries for a year or so before going to South Africa for a while. For a few years he was my brother in law.

  2. Just a few more names to add to the team which I believe was made up of I Goodchild(Synthonia)5th left Derek Davies(West End)A.Thomas. Front Row.Dave(Sammy)Small(WE) ? Eddie Dunn(WE).Ron Walker(WE).Brian Pearson(WE)? Lenny Sewell(WE).I agree it does look like Cocky Salmon.

  3. I think this could be a photo of the Stockton Junior Representative team, players I recognise are back-row 5th left Benny Farrell,6th Arthur Thomas,front-row left Jimmy Murray,2nd Brian Fawdon,3rd Eddie Dunn. The chap back-row left looks like Pop Arundel of Billingham Synthonia Juniors.

  4. Allan Weallans : I went to Holy Trinity School from approx 1940 to 1944 and I can state quite categorically that the photograph shows Cock Salmon in the back row. This is the first photo I have ever seen of him and it brings back nostalgic memories.

  5. Do any former Trinity boys think that the litle man with the hat is “cock” Salmon? It looks rather like him. I wasn”t aware he was connected with football to this extent.
