Where is this picture exhibited? It would make a very nice postcard.
Now Bishopton Road, the large tree is on the present Wrensfield Estate. The Beck crossed by Browns Bridge in the valley in front of the wagon, while the Parish Church Tower, shows faintly to the left under the large tree foliage. Painted after 1800 as “Tommy-Wrens Mill” has had Steam ( using the S & D Railway coal supply ?) added to its Wind and Water-power.
if this is bishopton lane looking towards stockton then is it reasonable that Wrensfield road (newtown) is named after tommy wrens mill ie the road towards it ? (after crossing browns bridge of course)
