A fascinating old picture of the west side showing the end of Wellington Street. In the Fifties and probably some time afterwards, the shop of Laings became Woodhouse furniture shop and Smith &co was where Woolworths origally stood. The terrace properties showing at the extreme right are what was there before the building of the Co-op emporium. Not much traffic around!
