Its lovely to see Leybourne Terrace after all these years. My auntie Evelyn Murry and uncle Tic lived at number 3 they had 2 sons and a daughter, Tom Murry, Cliff Murry and Olwyn Murry, in the 1960s then they moved to number 8 Templar Street. From David Jones formerly, of 1 Bickersteth Street and 97 Tithe Barn Road, Hardwick now living in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.
My Home – Well at first it wasn’t but then it was, puzzled, well when I get my self straight you won’t be, hopefully. When mam and dad were first married and had my sister Carol they lived above the hairdressers in Laybourne Terrace,(not Avenue) There mam was expecting me and after Robson Maternity Home I was there, never looked up to it all the hundreds of times I must have passed, but seeing this photo in good light it looks well. Roy.
I remember the Robson maternity home I believe it was owned by Mrs Robson that also owned Isaac Robsons shop on the corner of Wood Street and Bridge Road. My dad was transport manager there when they had the light blue Thames traders. Its now Sankey home care centre they took over in 1970 and it was called Sankey Robson for a while.

Very strange arrangement of upper-floor levels on this terrace, never seen anything like it! check it out.
