Mam (Vera Adams) worked at this branch 1940/41 One of her favorite jobs was to weigh the loose items like sugar in the blue paper cones, this was before pre-packed goods She was only young when she worked there but she did fire watch duties up on the roof. Her working life started at 15yrs at the Co Op Jam Factory in the Bridge Rd area of Stockton so I think the shop at Norton was a much better environment!
My late brother Keith Scott worked here. This is also where he met his wife Kate (O`Brien) as she worked here too.
