I remember buying cooked meats at the Farm Stores in Dovecot Street during the 1950″s when I think it was located in both the shops in the picture. Its connection with ASDA must have come later as I understand it was not formed until 1965.
This building used to be the Farm Stores – off shoot of Asda. But looking at the date 1914 at the top of the building, was this part of the Co-op which was located to the left.
