I remember my grandparents (surname Hodson) going to the Keswick convention each year, would be in the 1940″s/1950″s. They lived in Manfield Street and attended the Lightfoot Grove Baptist Church. I don”t know whether they went with people from the church or just went on their own.
This reminds me of a photograph I have seen of delegates attending the Keswick Convention. This is a religious gathering that still takes place in Keswick every year. The Convention Centre is the large marquee that can be seen in the background. Judging by the fashions this photo was taken in the 1930s ? No Stockton connection – unless one of the delegates was from the town.
