Bob harbron,thank you for your reply. As you will see in my other comments, my brother George was in this squadron. The reason i asked the question is my brother brought a monkey home with him, I remember my mum making a outfit for it in tartan.we named him Jacko. I was terrified of him as he was vicious,he did not like children and used to bite them. I have been following your comments on PictureStockton and find them very interesting.
The only monkeys I recall were those the arab and spanish photographers used as “props ” on visiting La Linea & Tangier. Though the native Rock-Apes (not Royal Air-Force Regiment) were vicious at times, snatching cans, caps even trying for wrist-watches.
