  1. You know your cars Nevi Bradshaw. I had three Consuls 1953 Mk1,1956 Mk2, 1958 also a Mk2, but with the old shape rear lights for which you could buy chrome surrounds as an extra.The car shown in this picture is a Mk3 Consul.
    I had ordered a new Ford Prefect from Oxbridge Garage Company to replace our 1937 Ford Eight. They quoted a two and a half year delivery when I ordered it. Three years later it had still not been delived. I had by then moved to Leeds,and bought a second hand 1953 Consul, the other two were brand new. Good cars and I wish I still had my 1937 model today it would be worth more than my present Rover.

  2. This photo is either 1961 or after that time as the Ford Consul has the round section rear-lights introduced in that year.
