  1. Hi All, I was also born in this house in 1955 and lived here until I was about 4 I think, then moved to Billingham. I lived here with my mam and dad Sheila and Tommy Wright, both sadly no longer with us.

  2. The Mount, which is the property adjacent to Coal Lane, was built in 1774. I know this because my late gran, Mrs Betty Wright, owned the house from 1938 to 1961. It had originally been a farmhouse and whilst the land had been sold there were still extensive farm buildings to the rear. My Gran kept pigs, chickens and doves in their own dovecot. The doves were later stolen by some kind soul. There was also a collection of farm cats which gran kept from the breadline. I was born in this house in 1951 but the last time I looked there was no sign of a blue plaque. When Gran bought the house in 1938 it was completely empty apart from box after box of buttons left by the old lady who lived there.

  3. Anyone know if these two buildings are still standing or not? I travel into Wolviston village quite often but dont remember these. The road looks like the bend going out towards coal lane but not sure?
