  1. Andrew Doig, did you have a brother born in 1967 called, I think, Andrew, and did you live on Upsall Grove in Fairfield? If so, I have a photo of me and your mother, taken in 1967 when we were both pregnant, and we won a competition for expectant mothers. It is rather a good photo, taken by the Gazette. If you would like a copy, please ask picturestockton for my e mail address. I actually live just round the corner from your old house, and my son Ian went to Ian Ramsey with your brother.

  2. I was born in Stockton 1970, moving away mid 1980’s. Now 40 getting reminiscent! There was a boat moored North bank of the Tees, somewhere near Portrack roundabout, maybe 1978-9. It stood there for months and I’m sure it was a tug of some sort. Later taken off for scrap. Has strong childhood memories of being sat with my Dad on the edge of the berth looking down onto its green tarpaulins, sure it had a double name of someone. It was quite a local interest at the time I remember. Anyone know what it was or even better have any photos?
