My Grandmother lived at 11 Harland Place in 1901 when she was 22 years of age, she lived with her Mother and Father, George and Alice Scrafton, and he was a Joiner and wheelwright. She married Gilbert Charles Begent in 1903 and my Mother was born a year later.
The date must be in the very late 1960s or early 1970s. Look at the Austin 1100/1300 MkII in the foreground and the “F” and “G” registered 1100s parked behind. The right hand car is the MG version. The 2 door MG was not available before Octber 1967 and a “G” registration would put it being registered inthe second half of “68 or the first half of “69. none of the cars look very old (the rust soon started to show!)so it can”t be much later than 1972. Maybe someone knows about the shops shown which could date it more precisely.
