Many users of Picture Stockton have memories of Spring Street, going down it on their way to Ropner Park, or to stand on the bridge and watch the trains pass by. It is the width of Spring Street which I remember. It was so much wider than all of the other streets and roads in the vicinity. Has anybody any idea why it was so wide?
