I played in the 1973 HT team that won the league for the first time… competition was Roseworth if I remeber correctly. My team – Alan Jenkins, Andrew Brown, Neil douglas, Paul Rayner, David Thorpe, Nick Marsh, Michael Berriman. Sorry guys can’t remember rest without pic.

ITS FIFTY YEARS GONE 13th AUGUST SINCE GORDON JONES HAD HIS FIRST TRIAL FOR MIDDLESBROUGH. I KNOW BECAUSE WE TRAVELLED TOGETHER ON THE UNITED BUS TO HUTTON ROAD GROUND & PLAYED IN THE SAME TRIAL MATCH.
Star players that went to Holy Trinity were Gordon Jones, Denis Thwaites, Stewy Fellowes & Bobby Evans.
I was at Holy Trinity before going to Stockton Grammar School and played in their football team as “right back”. No-one could get past ORMSTON! I would cut their legs off! My dad, Douglas Ormston, who went to Richard Hind School was also a football star who tried out for Middlesbrough, West Brom and other clubs. He also played with Brian Clough.
