Machinery for the mining industry made by Head Wrightsons was made at Stockton Forge Works in Norton Road at Tilery.
This one of a number of glass slides I have which are associated with Head Wrightsons,Stockton-On-Tees. Among it`s many roles I believe the company manufactured a wide range of machinery for the mining industry.This slide is damaged ,hence the lines at the top of the image.It depicts a king grinding pan 5 ft diameter.My knowledge of mining machinery is very limited. Would this perhaps have been used for crushing ore? Help from anyone with a better engineering knowledge would be appreciated.
