  1. Denis is right with what he says. I remember going with my dad to pick up my grandad from there every sunday to have sunday lunch with us, then to return him late evening. when seeing the picture it brought back memories as a young child as I remember the very dark decor inside ..

  2. The buildings in the picture were 24 and 25 The Square and it was demolished and the police station was built on the site. The building in the background was the Three Tuns.

  3. I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU JOHN, THAT IT IS THE OLD THREE TUNS PUB. I REMEMBER THAT THE MENS QUAYSIDE MISSION FACED ONTO THE OLD RENT OFFICES NEAR THE CATTLE MARKET.

  4. I never saw this area before demolition so I am unsure of its exact location. However, the building in the background, the one with the garage, to the right of the picture looks like the Riverside pub, formally the Three Tuns. Can anyone say if this is correct?
