Vintage Rover on Stockton High Street

This distinctive vehicle would regularly attend Stockton Market during the 1980’s. It is a late 1950’s vintage Rover P4 and was owned by the holder of the kitchenware stall which can be seen behind the car. Courtesy of Chris Hall (500 Group)

  1. This car belonged to Bill and Joyce Robinson who ran the china stall on Stockton market, they were from Middlesbrough and did most of the local markets. This car used to pull their Caravan as they were in the Camping and Caravaning club. I seem to think he sold the car when he retired.

  2. I used to see this car regularly on the market, it was there with its trailer most saturdays. One day I managed to get a picture of it. It would be interesting to know if it is still around, or if anyone else remembers seeing this magnificent car. In my time I’ve owned three of these, and I often wondered what happened to this one.
