  1. This was the poorly conceived, ‘new, updated, glossy, bells n’ whistles ‘Kirk’ ‘of Alan Noble and Barry Burak, that here was obviously attempting to trade-in on John McCoy’s previous legacy. Far too big in it’s expanded concept, the ‘new’ Kirk failed badly, and after several successive ‘short-term’ owners, was eventually sold and demolished for a housing development.

    • The event was organised by the Evening Gazette and compered by Paul Frost.
      We managed to raise over £12,500 in one night for the Teesside Scanner Appeal. Quite a lot of money in 1992. 1st prize on the raffle was a 14 day holiday in Caribean. All the musicians gave their services free of charge.
