Who was the landlord of the Cattle market pub Stockton in 1920 -1921? thanks.
In the 1882 Kelly’s Directory No 3 Church Row was The Cattle Market Hotel and the manager was Thomas Idle.
On the 1861 census my ancestors George Stephenson occupation Master Tailor and his wife Mary Ann were living at 3 Church Row.
At the same address on the 1871 census Mary Ann is now a widow and her occupation is Inn Keeper. Could someone tell me if this address today is The Cattlemarket pub please?
This pub was one of my frequent watering holes during WW2. As apprentices at F.Kidd & son, we used to call in have a couple of drinks and a game of darts after our shift. The landlord at the time was Dickie Donaldson and the present landlord is his great great nephew.
