These pictures were taken during the Yorkshire Regiment Freedom of the Borough Parade on Thursday June 24th. They were taken by Peter Moon from the balcony of the Spencer market and offer an elevated view of the march down part of the High Street south of the Shambles.

This and the other thread on the march makes me wish I had at least been there to see it. In line with most of the UK Dumfries had a parade, and a fine sight it was too, but as somebody has already said this is one of our local regiments. Yes after thirty years away, in line with many others, I still count myself as a Stocktonian.
