Yes Ken Rhodes. The others you refer to on the previous archive were submitted by you in January 2005. The Junior team of 44-45 has appeared afresh on this new archive and I have submitted comments including the names.

The late Eric (Ebbie) Neal played for Billingham Synthonia when they were a top Teesside League team in the sixties when they won the Durham Amateur Cup & North Riding Amateur Cup. Barry Osbourne was the Fiesta’s centre half when Keith Maude was in charge of the team.
Ken 4th from right middle row (light coloured cardigan) is our Ken Sawyer. I’m waiting for an answer from Ken confirming this.

Not many I’m afraid but I think Ken might know a few more if he thinks back. I might come up with a few more later. There are quite a few West End photos on this site somewhere, where I’ve managed to get all the names in and I’m sure a few of the remaining names will be on them if I can find them, now I’m getting my head around this site
Looks like another old Stockton referee back-row 3rd left Alf Cordukes, is Ken Rhodes going to help us to identify the rest?
I happen to be on this photo as one of the former players, first for Hartburn Minors which after one season combined with Junior club Park Rangers to form West End for the 1944-45 season. Perhaps Ken Rhodes will name the others!

Reg Furphy who worked at Head Wrightsons, Thornaby, brother of Ken and married Olive Plumley from Byron Street, is seated on the right, 2nd row, 2nd left is Harry Emerson the old referee, back-row 4th right is Stewart Holmes. Keith Maude 2nd row 4th left does not come into the former players category at West End.
