I think that this photograph’s right hand side just misses the Victoria Bridge at it’s right hand side (the bridge running South East at this point). In the distance can be just seen 4 perhaps 5 big chimneys. These can only have been the HW Teesdale blast furnaces remaining at that time. 11 existed at the turn of the century and they were gradually demolished by 1927 (if memory serves me well). Thus 5 would time the picture at 1924/5. Buildings over the river to left would be the flour mill and to right the bone mill.
