The small shops and cast-iron railings on the left, in this once elegant suburban road, have now gone, the building having been converted into flats, in a fashion that makes one wonder how it ever received Planning approval! The present ground floor windows and doors bearing no relationship whatsover to the original upper floors, or even the adjacent houses. The road is now presumably blighted forever by this developers ‘cheap n’ nasty’ approach.
