John Rowley and Son Garage on the corner of Bentley Wynd and Yarm High Street. c1960s?
The garage above was earlier owned by Matty Dobson, motor engineer. When Rowleys took over, the main cottages at the front were demolished leaving a lean-to building down the side and a workshop at the back for tires and exhausts. The lean-to building was used as an antique shop for a while by Rowleys then sold on to Derek Campbell. The site was then sold on again and leveled.
